MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

You must be 18 years of age or older. Children between the ages of 12-17 are welcome if accompanied by a parent. Therefore, your parents must be members of SCPFF.

You must be willing to volunteer for specific duties spending no less than 5-10 hours per month on that task. Everyone is expected to show up at rallies and vigils in their geographical areas, unless they have transportation problems or a disability which would prevent this. You must petition the director of membership to waive this requirement. Our director is a Disability Advocate, so don't try to fake a disease or disability, she knows the difference. The basic rule here is: If you do not want to follow the requirements...don't join.

We desperately need volunteers to organize rallies, events, write letters to city, state, and federal representatives, and newspapers for the purpose of educating the public about our religious beliefs.

We also need volunteers to handle miscellanious legal duties, act as area coodinators, apply for permits for the rallies, create a logo for our group and original artwork for our web site. There are also other career skills which are needed to help our group function, including computer programmers, journalists, editors. And more mundane skills, such as opening your home for local meetings, providing snacks to on site participants, and child care to members attending rallies or meetings.

Area Coordinator - Recruit voulunteers, organize rallies and vigils in your area, obtain permits for rallies, etc., schedule meetings, rallies & vigils, appoint various duties to volunteers. Also plan rallies to oppose any rallies or vigils that the Xtian groups have planned...the goal is to meet them face to face to counter their attacks on pagans.

Researhcer - Research proposed congressional bills in state and in U.S. Congress which effect religious freedoms, research all of the pertinent Xtian organizations, and keep us informed of their activities. This includes the Christian Coalition, TBN, Jews for Jesus, Campus Crusade, Promise Keepers, Harvest Festival, Right to Life foundation, local churches, any scams aimed at Pagans by the religious right (whether perpetrated by individuals or groups) anti-pagan hate sites on the net (including clubs, forums and web pages). The time required for this task is no less than 10 hours per week, perhaps more.

Press Agent - Inform local newspapers, magazines, radio stations, television stations, cable operators, pagan merchants, and local pagan groups about upcoming rallies, vigils, and other planned events. You must give notification in advance, contacting news agencies the day of the rally is too late. You must let them know at least a week in advance if you want them to show up.
